Owen: Mom, where's Dad?
Mom: He is in Draper taking a test.
Olivia: Is Draper in Outer Space?
Owen: No, no. . . . Draper is about 30 minutes away. My friend Aiden moved there.
Now, if a single, short conversation could be indicative of a child's personality, this is it. First of all, Olivia thinking that Dad took a little trip to Outer Space. To her credit, she confused Draper and Jupiter--but to her everything is possible (although we need to work on our Utah geography). Then there is Owen. His friend Aiden moved about 6 months ago, and that's when I told him how far away it was. But he is our elephant and remembers all.
