the Fabulous Fourth

We spent the 4th of July relaxing and hanging out with family. Our niece Brooke put on a carnival for the kids at Rob (Rich's bro) and Karen's house in Salem. The kids loved it (which was apparent when we tried to leave)!

The view from their backyard . . . . can't beat it!

Aunt Julie was the fabulous face painter---and boy, does she have skills!

Sparklers, face paint and "girls camp braids". Olivia's life was complete. . . . for that day, anyway.

Ryder watches the boys setting off fireworks. Does it really look better upside down? Maybe I'll try that next year.

Not sure what to think, but Max took to the sparklers quickly enough!

Max and Ryder could pass as twins in these pictures.
I love Olivia's braids. I always wanted braids like that when I was a little girl. Lucky Olivia.
