Since moving to Utah, we have been made acutely aware of Owen's condition we call "Mole-itis". He can't walk out of our house without covering his eyes with whatever is handy (arms, hands, Spiderman sunglasses, etc. . . . ) and yelling "too sunny, too sunny!" Therefore, trying to take outdoor pictures presents another problem altogether, shown by the following attempted photos:
It was a noble effort on his part, holding his eyes open with his fingers for Pete's sake! Needless to say, we were not successful this time around. So, if we ever post any family pictures with Owen wearing some sort of visor or his Spiderman sunglasses, you'll know why.

I can't seem to keep my eyes wide open when I smile no matter how sunny it is outside so if Owen figures it out maybe he can teach me his tricks!
I know, I'm afraid we have also permanantely damaged our kids when it comes to sunshine, thanks to their overexposure to clouds. They freak out when it is in their eyes!
