Why I Don't Blog

A few reasons why I don't blog:

Rock wall installed . . . . check.
Millions of 2 ft. high weeds pulled . . . . check.
Yard grade taken down 4" and hauled off . . . . check.
Trenched for sprinklers . . . . check.
When trencher didn't work, done by hand . . . . check.
Sprinkler system put together . . . . check.
Downspouts buried . . . . check.
Trenches covered . . . . check.
25,000 rocks removed from yard . . . . check.
Deck extended 8 feet . . . . check.
65 yards of topsoil delivered . . . . check.
Topsoil spread and burms built up . . . . check.
Yard hydroseeded . . . . check.
One large bottle of ibuprofen downed . . . . check, check.

Our nice burms built up for planting areas. Until this fun, I wasn't aware what a "burm" was.

Here we have our new deck (thanks, Rich), a nice, level yard and lovely rock wall. The girl pulling the hose is just an added bonus.

We could've built another rock wall with the amount of rocks we dug out of our yard.

We just made our deadline to have the yard hydroseeded by the skin of our teeth. More like, the bugs and dirt of our teeth.

You may be thinking to yourself. . . . . hmmmm, it's not a huge yard and it looks like it's fairly level. You'd be right on those points. However, it is full of boulders, hard as cement and now seems very big (after months of digging). Rich estimated about 400 man hours have been put into this effort. Correction, man and woman hours. We have spent most nights the past few months until 11:00 p.m. to midnight weilding a shovel, pick-axe and water bottle (Rich sported a nifty camping headlight, as well). Our neighbors now think of us as "the crazy people on the corner".

We are.

So there you have it . . . . the reasons why I don't blog. But let's throw in a few cute mugs, just for fun.

All she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth. . . . . and a page-length list of toys.

Ryder loves playing hide and seek with random things he finds to cover his head. This time it is Owen's sweaty t-ball shirt.

Okay, you are forgiven for not being heard from in the last month. I always check your blog for more cute "mugs". I'm very impressed with your yardwork. You are right. Yardwork is something that doesn't get a lot of glory. You can work for hours just weeding (or leveling) and sometimes it looks like hardly a dent was made. Good work! I'll be excited to see your finished product!

This is random, but I noticed that the title of your blog is "." I did this at first too when I didn't want a title to show up and then I realized that you can still have a title that can be a link, etc, but it doesn't have to show. Maybe you already know this...but here's how you do it:

Go to Layout
Add and Arrange Page Elements,
Edit Header,
under your image click on the "Instead of title and description" button.

Am I a dork for telling you this? Oh well, I'm used to it.

Nice work guys! I figured you must have been busy doing something.
Now have you checked that random comment on your last post? I'm going to have to talk to Richard about that one.
